bt_colorizer

This script can be used to attach multiple textures to multiple objects with the same shader.  It's best used to make small variations across many objects, for instance leaves in a tree or pieces of fruit.

To operate this script, download and extract it to your scripts directory, then source the script and type bt_colorizer in the script editor.

Great script. Thanks for all your hard work. I can't wait until I have a need for this and have that much control over things.

Hello!

I am working with proxys, I used this script to random assign textures to grass blades, but then when I create a proxy those connections get lost and only renders one texture. Can you help here? Tnks a lot

Oddly the script runs, it pulls up the BT-colorizer dialog box, then when I choose "random colors" after selecting my objects it gives the message "// Error:Cannot find procedure "bt_colorRandom" And doesn't do anything. Any idea why this may not be working? It's Maya 2012 64

mayazest,

The script needs to be sourced first, so try sourcing the script, then running bt_colorizer; If that doesn't seem to work, open the script in the script editor, Ctrl-A to select all, then hit enter, then run the script and it should work fine after that.
